                                                                        penpals’ project             Blackfen School for Girls IES Félix de Azara IES Félix de Azara Durante el presente curso, parte del alumnado del centro ha estado carteándose con las alumnas del instituto londinense Blackfen School, intercambiando información sobre sus vacaciones, amistades, hobbies y planes del futuro. Esperamos que esta experiencia haya sido enriquecedora e intentaremos que este proyecto continúe en el próximo año.

El alumnado de 3º de la ESO de Ciudadanía en inglés pertenecientes al Programa de Ampliación de Lenguas Extranjeras (PALE) han realizado este vídeo para concienciarnos de la crisis medioambiental que está sufriendo nuestro planeta. ¡No os lo perdáis! SAVE THE EARTH  

  Our students of 2nd ESO A-B (not Brit), E and F have taken part in the famous talent show  You've Got Talent!.  They have played musical instruments, sung songs, done magic tricks, juggled, drawn on the blackboard, danced choreographies, etc. Other students have played the role of presenters of the show and judges.              They have had a lot of fun!!!!!!!😂

                                  2 nd  ESO English Project: “Fortune teller”                                   Would you like to know about your future?                                             Our students of 2 nd  ESO have become fortune tellers and their clients. They have made their own crystal balls, candles and cards. By playing this game they have practised the future and the first conditional.

  1ºF PALE students turned into ZOMBIES on Halloween and learned how to dance "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. Even the skeleton danced with us. It was great fun!!!!! Would you like to join us??? Ainara Marco & Diego Blasco

The exhibition was about the luxuries of our ancestors. The clothes they wore,(the truth was that they weighed a lot),the jewels...Then we saw a carpet which had been left in a house where people had been partying for a week. Another thing that caught my attention is what they used to eat ,and how they used it . On the other hand, we did a small activity in which we had to guess which object was the real one and which one was forged. And finally, we saw the jewels they were wearing, and in the last minutes we had to find two old coins. I really liked the exhibition, and the girl spoke very well and slowly in English. Paula (1º ESO BRIT) When we arrived at Caixa Forum, we took photos all together on   the letters at the front door. When we entered, two girls helped us. One of them was our guide . We had to climb up some floors,  there were lot of stairs. Already on our floor, at the  entrance, the guide explained a little about the beginnings, the place, etc...

                       HALLOWTWEET CONTEST                            Con motivo de Halloween, que se celebrará 31 de octubre, el PALE (Proyecto de Ampliación de Lenguas Extranjeras), el BRIT y todo el Dpto de Inglés convoca la II Edición del Concurso "Hallowtweet”. El concurso consistirá en la redacción en lengua inglesa de pequeños relatos de terror (de longitud parecida a un “tweet, es decir aproximadamente 140 caracteres) y podrá participar todo el alumnado del IES Félix de Azara. Los tuits deberán entregarse al profesorado de inglés. El periodo de entrega de los relatos estará comprendido entre el 20 y el 27 de octubre de 2020. BEING A BRIT  STUDENT, WHAT DO YOU THINK? "I was afraid of English until a very special friend told me it was worth it, so I started to improve my English. I have studied English since I was 6, and a teacher encouraged me to take the entrance exam ... And now I am in! NO PIERDES NADA POR INTENTARLO. LUCHA POR LO QUE QUIERES." 😀😀                                                             Andrea (1º ESO BRIT) BRIT "Cuando entras a BRIT puedes tener miedo porque vas a hacer cosas en inglés, pero todos tenemos el mismo nivel de inglés.  Los profesores saben que nunca has dado estos temas en inglés entonces te ayudan, si no lo entiendes te lo explican hasta que los entiendas. Al principio te cuesta un poco porque nunca lo has dado en inglés pero luego te acostumbras y ya hay cosas que no te parecen tan ...

SOME OF OUR 1ST YEAR PALE STUDENTS WANT TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES 😀  "It is beautiful because you learn a lot and you practice English.  It is a new experience I didn't have at school.  I like PALE. It is fun!"                                                                                       Erika (1ºESO F) PALE "En PALE aprendemos inglés de una forma divertida y entretenida. Vemos vídeos, canciones, hacemos juegos... Hablamos en inglés y si hay algo que no entendemos lo explicamos en español. Lo que más me gusta de PALE es que aprendemos casi sin darnos cuenta. PALE es un buen programa porque aprendes mucho inglés en plazos muy limitados. También sirve para reforzar el trabajo hecho en clase de inglés. Se refuerza el trabajo ...

It was a normal day, and Ally, our English language assistant, made an Australian food presentation.  We were a bit talkative and she said: "If you keep quiet, I'll bring you a surprise".  Then, in the following class, she brought some Australian food: Vegemite (yeast extract) and Fairy Bread, which is a piece of bread with sweet sprinkles.  In our opinion, the second one was better, and it was a fun experience! El miércoles durante el segundo recreo en el aula 101 tendremos una reunión informativa con el alumnado participante en el intercambio .  ¡No podéis faltar!

Hi! I'm going to talk about the visit of 1º ESO BRIT to Roman Zaragoza on 5th of February.  We started near the sculpture of the founder of the city, Caesar Augustus .  Then, we went through the remains of the Roman wall.  After that, we went for a walk along River Ebro and the guide explained some facts about Puente de Piedra.  Lastly, we went to the Roman baths and the Roman theatre where we could see more Roman remains.  We enjoyed the activity a lot!!
